I am thinking about getting a moped. I live in South Carolina. What do I need in terms of insurance? Do I need registration?

It will need to be registered, and most states will issue moped, as opposed to motorcycle plates. I don’t know SC law, but if its a mandatory insurance state you probably have to insure it.
